The San Antonio Spurs finished the 2007 regular season with a 50-32 record, good for second place in the NBA Central Division. Tony Parker led the team in scoring, averaging 24.5 points per game, while Tim Duncan averaged 20.9 points and 11.0 rebounds per game. Manu Ginóbili averaged 19.4 points per game and was named to the All-NBA Second Team. The Spurs clinched a playoff berth with a 103-91 win over the Denver Nuggets on April 18.

In the playoffs, the Spurs defeated the Phoenix Suns in the first round, the New Orleans Hornets in the second round, and the Utah Jazz in the Western Conference Finals. They then faced the Cleveland Cavaliers in the NBA Finals, but lost in four games.
